My name is Catherine Nicholson.
I am 48 years of age, married with two cockatiels called Stan and Olly. I started a mad adventure 3 years ago to set up a housing association for vulnerable adults with mental health problems to be able to live safely and securely in the community. I have had many laughs, tears and stories to tell over these three years and want to share my experience both up to now and going forward.
My aim is that adults with complex mental health problems don’t just get pushed into social housing flats or sit on wards, but can live in the community in a way that benefits them and also in a way that protects the public from what can sometimes be a real threat, by supporting and helping these individuals interact with us and engage with us to achieve a better, safer and more calm life.
